Cover and interview in Western Friend Magazine

I’m deeply honored to be featured in an interview and on the cover of the latest issue of Western Friend Magazine. The music I put into the world grows from deep Quaker roots.  I speak in this interview about how that spiritual path and the Quaker community help anchor my work. Read more here.

Interview on Citizens' Climate Radio

I was interviewed recently by the brilliant queer Quaker performance artist Peterson Toscano for his show on Citizen's Climate Radio. We talked about connection to the land, right relationship to indigenous peoples, and direct action. Check it out and share with your friends!

New Video! (from Ballard Sessions LIVE #6 in Seattle, WA)

This is a brand new song of mine, not yet released, called "Send Somebody." It speaks to the helplessness I know many of us are feeling in this unbelievable time. And it asks us to listen deeply - to that still small voice - for how we are being called to act.

HUGE thanks to Tos Fackenthall for the opportunity to perform at Fremont Abbey in Seattle, WA (April 25, 2017), and for this beautiful video!

Hailing from Ashland, Oregon, Hollis Peach is a duo comprised of Dan Sherrill and Jacqui Aubert, two founding members of folk-orchestra Patchy Sanders. They pull inspiration from the folk revival of the 60s and 70s, contemporary indie and psych folk, Americana, and gospel music. Their sound is characterized by innovative songwriting, guitar playing, and powerful, sultry harmonies. They are touring in support of their April 2016 release, Sometimes We Feel the Same, recorded at Dreamland Studios in Woodstock, NY with 3-time Grammy-winning producer/engineer Dave Clauss. Listen at hollispeach.com.

After countless years of travel and gathering inspiration, M. Henry began writing and singing his own songs as King Roy Wing. The Southern Oregon band has a style developed from a passion for good humor, Thai curry, and Made in America folk music. They create beautiful folk songs, with an occasional spattering of gritty punk raw energy. Think early Avett Brothers if there were a few women in the group -with the addition of some fresh homemade blackberry jam, bread, and butter. Listen at www.kingroywing.com.

Mississippi Pizza with Seth Martin (on tour from South Korea)

Sunday, August 21st, 5:00pm
3552 N. Mississippi Ave.
Portland, OR

It is a great joy to share the stage once again with the one-man-revolution that is Seth Martin! In the tradition of such folk legends as Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, and Utah Phillips, his songs and stories are relevant, moving, and crucial in our times. I hope you won't miss his only Portland appearance this year! It's an early show, so get yourself back from the river in plenty of time to order a pizza and get your folk on!

Artichoke Music show with Luca & Il Violino

Delighted to be headlining this show at Artichoke Music in Portland!
I'm excited to hear the work of Luca Ciarla - a wildly talented violinist on tour from Italy who will open the show. My focus thus far in 2016 has been exclusively on recording a great new album, so this is my first show in months! I'm looking forward to getting back on stage and weaving some music magic with you all. More info HERE.
