Anna Fritz is a cellist, folksinger, and life-long Quaker. She carries a musical ministry, performing original songs that combine her classical training and inventive new ways of using the cello. Her songs touch on themes of gender, justice, spirit, and connection to the natural world. Her performances are disarmingly vulnerable, inviting her audience to be enlivened, connected, and singing! Although Anna embraces her folksinger identity and the leading that has brought her to this music, her sound is informed by an eclectic musical career. She has spent many years touring and recording with numerous bands including Portland Cello Project, The Decemberists, My Morning Jacket, and Dirty Projectors. Seth Martin has toured the US five times since 2009, and spent years teaching, hiking and performing mountain music in South Korea recently. A northwest native and Quaker, Martin grew up in a large family at the base of Mt. St. Helens, where the main pursuits were sports, gardening, hiking and playing folk music with several instruments, including mountain dulcimer, banjo, guitar, accordion, harmonica, and piano. These days, Martin divides his time touring, living in Toledo, Washington, and teaching and performing music in South Korea. At 32 years old, he has independently released albums and his great passion is uniting younger and older audiences through sharing new and old folk mountain music - mainly finger picked guitar and melodic banjo tunes. Martin travels and performs solo often, or with his band, Seth Martin & The Menders. Martin’s music and message celebrates healthy local relationships between people, land and history.
